I have a 2005 4.6L with a leaking rack & pinion. It looks to be leaking on the drivers side tie rod seal. While looking for a seal kit I can find a kit listed for a 2004 4.6L and a 2005 4.0L but not a 2005 4.6L. Is the rack on the 2005 different from the 2004, or different between the 4.0L and 4.6L?
The part I found from Rock Auto for the 2004 4.6L is Edelmann 8914. This is the same part listed for the 2005 4.0L.
