Hi, I'm a newbie here but have been a car buff for over 40 years. I've never had experence with the COP design so I'm on a new learning curve and found this site while looking up information for changing my spark plugs in my 2005 4.6 Explorer. I changed then yesterday but still have concerns in my mind over 2 things. What is the correct torque spec for the plugs, I set them at 15 ft lbs as the specs I noted were 9/15 ft lbs. The other item is did I need to use never-seize on the plug threads. I have found conflicting information as to use it, don't use it and to use die-electric grease.
I lighty coated the first 5-6 threads. One big screw-up I made was with my user ID, could a moderator please remove the letter "s" from my login ID.
I don't know how I managed to do that, is being old a good excuse?
