2005 Sport Trac
Hello-
I have been a lurker for a few weeks and have gotten a lot of info from this forum, thank you!

I have an issue and it involves what I think may be the 2-3 flare on my 05 Sport Trac. In reading the forums I see the flare is about a 250 rpm increase between 2-3 gear well mine is jumping up to about 4k rpm and then shifting, this is especially so under hard acceleration.

Some history:
*Trac has 57000 miles on it. I am original owner.
*I adjusted the EPC solenoid a few weeks ago by a 1/4 turn.
*I replaced pan with a deeper pan and took the EPC 1/4 adjustment out. *Was shifting badly so I purchased an Xcal3 and the tunes caused the OD light to flash.
*I put the factory tune back on and this weekend replaced the EPC solenoid and the mounting bracket while the battery was disconnected.
*Once completed I followed the battery replacement instructions in the owners manual, relearning the idle strategy and the adaptive learning strategy.

*Current state is shifting better than when I had the other solenoid in but still not right. Stock tune in place. Verified tranny has correct amount of Mercon V.

Thoughts or guidance from here? Do I need to do the VB rebuild or am I missing something? I reading these forums I have not seen an 05 or up have this type of issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Central Valve body upgrade

After futher research looks like I am going to install a Central Valve body upgrade and quit messing with this.

Donny is a great guy to talk to so that is a huge plus!

Question tho, where can I purchase the double lipped reverse servo seal and the Viton D - ring kit?

Cheers
Kinley
