I recently purchased an 05 Explorer XLT. I'd like to replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket receiver to use with my iPod. I don't have a stock subwoofer or CD changer or anything like that, so I haven't been able to figure out whether or not I have a factory amp that would require bypassing in order to install the aftermarket receiver.
If someone could let me know if I need anything beyond a simple wiring harness it would be much appreciated. I'm planning to keep the stock speakers, so all I want to replace is the stock head unit.
