Recently driving on the highway the mountaineer started making a whining noise when heavily accelerating didn't sound like from under the hood sounded more like under the suv. If drive normal and dontaccerlate heavy like to pass doesn't make noise at all. The noise also goes away when you lift off the gas pedal from accelerating heavily. The suv still runs and drives excellent doesn't appear to have any shifting or driving issues. But would like to narrow down this noise so as to not create any huge problems.
