2006 - CD player not working

I have a 2006 and the cd player will work only on radio. When I try to play a cd is says cd error, when i try to eject it says cd eject error. Is there a way to fix this?

I don't know of a fix...that doesn't mean there isn't one. My cd player went bad also.....I just got rid of it and got a decent head unit and speakers.

We have a '06 XP, '05 F-350, and mother in law has an '06 Navigator...none of em work. Replace it.

I have a factory unit I removed from mine, would be willing to sell it. Audiophile 6 disc changer

When it happens in mine (which is sporadically) I have to shut the vehicle off and wait a second, then crank back up and it will work fine. Of course, I rarely do this and just suffer through the radio for the rest of the drive.
