My stock wheels are crap like most of the rest. I want to find a set of chrome 16" that will fit. Does anyone know what wheels off other year explorer, ranger, etc will fit with proper back spacing etc?

The lug pattern from the Mustang, Crown Vic, Ranger, Lincolns are the same for the most part.. it's all about the backspacing and caliper and rotor clearance.

You may use wheels of older Explorers.
For winter I use four 16" steel spare wheels of Explorer II series with 255/70/16 tires.
They have another offset (ET 12 mm), so they come out about 1" more than the original wheels (ET 44 mm).

You have to look for a bolt pattern of 5x4.5" (5x114.3 mm).
Hub center diameter is 70.5 mm (about 2.77").
