2006 explorer gear shift indicator light

trying to figure out how to replace bulb any info thanks

I am going through the exact same thing right this minute. The sticky on the home page shows how to take the center console apart. you will see two wires go to the bulb. You have to turn the build socket 90 degrees then pull it down, I used needle nose pliers. I went to the local auto parts and picked up a 37 bulb, no fit. Now I am trying to find the correct bulb number, I will be going to a different auto parts store in the morning. Good luck.

yeah i was looking and reading that same info just replaced the a/c assembly lights and i was tryin to reach it but my hand and no pliers would reach look liked the console have to slide back or some to removehttp://www.explorerforum.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

So I went to my local auto parts and bought a Sylvania 2721 bulb. It was the only bulb I could find that fit and worked perfectly. Good luck.
