I have a an 06 Mountaineer that seems to flutter (not a hard shift just hesitates) a little while shifting through the gears during normal conditions. It only does it when hot and not all the time. Also when cold at idle if you rev to about 1200 RPM you can hear a girgle from under the console. It sounds like the torque converter is not full and sloshes around. I do have a professional grade scanner and the trans is not sending any codes either. I took it to the dealer and they said they could not find the problem without dismantleing the trans because they could not duplicate the issue except the girgle noise. It also makes a growl noise when hesitating almost like a shaft bearing. It may be a bad trans mount causing vibration that I will check I have since checked mount and fluid and they are both good. The truck only has 85K miles and has always been serviced by the dealer until warranty expired then by me. The trans was also flushed at 75K. Any ideas would be welcomed. Has any one had this happen to them?
