2006 Ranger rear doors don't open.

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and new to my 06 ford ranger. I was hoping I could get a hand here. Both rear doors do not open, I have searched frantically for solutions on how to manually open the doors. So far I have removed the door trim on the inside, pulled the rubber plug out, sprayed copious amounts of PB blaster in there, and tried to move every tab possible with no success. I read there is one tab that needs to be lifted up for them to open? I can't seem to find the proper one, or mine might be seized badly. Could somebody please clarify which tab needs to be pushed, or if this is the right procedure? My cables are all in good shape and move when the handle is pulled, top latch works perfect, bottom is seized. Thanks for the help!

I have been trying to even find pictures of the latch system with a diagram or similar drawing, nothing yet though. Would be nice to get in there to store my fishing stuff....

There is a upper latch and a lower latch.

Each have their own cable.

Usually the upper breaks first.

Either way you can see which one is broken.

You need to pull the broken one by hand and then use the door handle to release the other. Then the door will open.
