2006 Wheel on 2004 pressure sensor?

Just bought 18s off a 2006 Mountaineer. Are these tire pressure sensors mounted in the valley of the wheel and will they work on the o4 which are mounted in the valve core?

From what I heard the sensors and the TPMS need to be "synched" when changing rims and tires...
