2007 4x4 noise

Hey guys quick question. When my ex in in 4x4 and I hit mud and it engages there is a loud clank from the front right. Replace the cv and it still does it. Once it's engaged it seems fine. But the initial engagement is where I here the noise. It's pretty loud. Any ideas?

Sounds like mine also. It's normal from all I can tell and according to ford techs. Just everything meshing together when engaging is what I am told and not to worry. My older ones did not do this as loud but they did some when engaging. Hopefully nothing is wrong with yours. Just my .02.

Did it do it before the lift? Also how many miles on it?

Didn't do it before the lift. But also don't do it for atleast a year after the lift. It has 90000
