Hello all,

On my way back from a deployment overseas currently, so please forgive that some of the below information is second hand.

I have stored my Sport Trac for the last six months at an outdoor storage facility. Prior to putting her away for a few months, I filled the tank, added a bottle of sea form, and let it run for 30 minutes. Then, I removed the battery.

My family just picked her up for me a few days ago, and is saying that during hard/harder acceleration it coughs/hesistant and has a slight knocking sound.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Nick

You might have an issue with the fuel filter or injectors; that can be common when storing a vehicle for a while.

I second that. Same thing happened to me when I got back from a deployment. I changed the filter, ran some fuel injector cleaner through it and it was fine. Might be the gas too. Not sure how long gas can sit before it "goes bad."

You should not have filled the tank. Depending on how old the gas was when you got it from the gas station it probably only has another month of life.
I was deployed for 8 months and I just left it in a storage locker. I needed a jump start, but I filled her up with 93 and she's been running great ever since.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to follow up. Got home, vehicle is running fine. Seems like it was just old gas. Thanks to everyone for the responses.

Nick
