just bought a 2010 eddie that has factory navigation in it. the issue is, it thinks i am in north dakota, when i am further north near winnipeg canada. did some searching but couldnt find if this needs a update or something else. anyone else ever have this problem, and if its not a update issue how do i go about correcting this. thanks.

The problem might also be malfunctioning hardware related to the GPS tracking system. Have you tried resetting the unit to the original factory settings?

i havent tried much just yet. i havent even owned it for 24 hours lol. i wanted to get some ideas first, will have to try in a few days as i just dropped it off to the shop that will be inspecting it. thanks for the reply.

after doing some searches both here and google, when i go to look on how to reset this sync system, everything is going to the my ford touch, which i believe is not in this truck. any more info would be appreciated

digging more into this, there was a customer service number you can call on the display. call them, and they gave me directions on the ford site to fallow. you can download the updates from there using a usb sick, then load them in.....however, they downloaded into the memory stick, but wont download in the truck. the only port i can find is in the truck. is there a hidden one? has anyone else ever had the problem and solve it?

It is hard to trouble shoot these kinds of problems via forums. It could be any number of issues from hardware related to software. It could be the software's navigation database does not include Canada.

At least it don't think you are in Selkirk, NY . That is where all the plastic in the explorer was made. I've found parts on the explorer stamped "Noryl". Selkirk has a Noryl Ave near the huge factory.
