2010 Ford Explorer XLT
Sorry, I believe my original post was in the wrong forum. I am new to the forum and hoping someone(s) can help me figure out a very annoying issue I am having. A couple of weeks ago my Explorer, which is a 2010 XLT 4X4 with a 4.0L V6 started running very rough. I tried to make it home from where we were but it quit and I had to be towed. When I got home there was no ignition at all and I found that the coil pack had an issue so I replaced it. There was still no ignition and further troubleshooting discovered that a fuse to the coil pack was blown. Once I replaced the 15amp fuse it fired up but ran really rough and had a strong raw gas smell. So I decided to change the plugs and wires and after that it started and ran ok, but still got the raw gas smell and idled rough. Now the check engine light came on. The codes I got were P0201 and P0202 which indicated open fuel injectors on cylinder 1 & 2. So I replaced all of the injectors along with the fuel pressure senor just to be on the safe side. Unfortunately I still have the same issue. For some reason the injectors on cylinder 1 & 2 seem to be shorted to ground and open all the time just dumping fuel. If anyone has any ideas or experienced a similar problem I would greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts. Thank you.

This is likely a bad PCM. Or rodents ate wires.
Years ago on a Tbird forum they had a similar issue (was a pattern). The drivers in PCM fail.

Thank you for the reply. I agree. After some further diagnosis today it seems like the PCM/ECM has a short in it. I was able to isolate the harness and verify that the harness is fine.
