i'm looking for smallest rim/wheel that i can, so i can get alot more tire beneath me for my minnesota winters. i'm thinking i probably can't go smaller than 17", because of the caliper size, but would like your opinions. i also would like to know, what would i need to do to make said rims and tires that i would buy, work properly with the vehicles tire sensors? thank you

Buy 17 steel wheels and then the base hubs. Cheap as can be. Or if your lucky some 18 xlt wheels.... don't mess with 16 they wont fit and always have to worry about offset bolt pattern etc.

Welcome to the Forum Matt.
I used the 17" steel wheels for my winter ties on the 2011 Limited I had. Unfortunately they changed the brake sizes in 2013 so I couldn't use them on subsequent vehicles. I could have if I had used 18" steelies.
