2012 XLT courtesy lights control?

I am a bow hunter and it drives me nuts when I open the door in the timber before dawn and all of the lights flash on alerting both man and beast that are in a 1000 yard circle of my explorer. The on-off-delay is great when I am in the city. But a real pain otherwise. Is there a way to control it or shut it off permanently?
All input is valuable to me. Thank you in advance.

You could pull fuse #12 in the cabin fuse box but then you would also lose a few other things.
Interior courtesy lamps (overhead
console, 2nd row, cargo), Puddle
lamps, Console bin LED,
Backlighting
