So we were camping last week and I decided to test out the AV input in my 2013 Ex Limited. I hooked up my iPad via a composite break out cable and I was able to see video for a split second then it disappeared. A message popped up saying to unhook all USB devices. I unplugged them all (including the Nav) and it still said the same thing. Out of my 10+ attempts, I got it to stay on 1 time for about 5 minutes before I shut it down. Came back later and it didn't work again.

Any advice?

I saw something on this before. I think you start with the iPad off and the vehicle off. Plug both in while both are off and then turn the explorer on and then the iPad. If I have the iPad, I really have no desire to play videos on the MFT screen (that retina display can't be beat).

Agree with that! ^ I still want it to work though.

Hi, amospro!

Try disconnecting your phone from MyFord Touch and try it again. Let me know if that helps!

I haven't tried mine since the MFT upgrade, but the way iPhone worked was to hook the A/V inputs up only, not the USB to the A/V dock.

Only works with the vehicle stopped.

If you need power you can connect the USB to a power adapter.

Just tried it tonight and it seemed to work fine. I did plug it in first, before starting the car and it worked just fine. No USB.

Hey.... That is what I told you to do.... :D:D
