Looking to install a dash cam in my 2013 Ford Explorer XLT. Needs to have no power when the vehicle is off.
I have reviewed several forum posts that attempt to address this issue, including:
2013 explorer dash cam install

In the above forum post they thought that 36 or 37 would work but the original poster did not post an update after completing his project.

Does any one have any insight if these fuses would work or if there is an alternative?

Thanks

Lots of options:

Via the Accessory delay relay: Fuses F32, F38, F48 Stays powered until a door is opened or the timeout interval expires.

Via the RUN/START Relay: Fuses F89, F90, F91, F92, F94, F94, F33, F34, F35, F36, F37, F41, F42

I just plugged mine into the power port in the center console arm rest. Its important to get a camera that can turn itself off and on using G sensors. Many capture video before and after sensor detection so they don't record all the time and waste SD space. I also have a rear camera plugged into the cargo power port. No battery drain issues at all
