2013 Preventative Maintenance?

Howdy! Thanks for reading! My kiddos 2002 Escape just had the engine go at 120k miles. I was told that had I replaced the timing chain and tensioners this may not have happened.
So for my 2013, and my wife’s 2016 for that matter, what are some things I need to do now to prevent bigger issues later? I have 140k miles on it and had the PUT replaced 2 years ago as well as struts.

Welcome to the Forum John.
That's the PTU you had replaced.
Here is an expensive repair; Water pump failure leads to dead engine
There haven't been any reports of timing chains breaking but there are several on rattling noises. Stretched chains and or pretensioners.
For the wife's 2016; Hood Paint bubble issue only (2013 is not covered).
