I've read through the various threads on the P0430 topic. I understand the possible sources of the issue. But, I do not want to chase parts so I'm hoping someone can help me interpret this freeze frame data to see if there's anything anomolistic that I'm missing.

Quick background - the vehicle runs fine. No loss of power & no other codes. Problem has been ongoing for about a year. If I do nothing, the code will clear itself after enough restarts (50 if I recall) but will eventually come back. Sometimes it comes back in days, sometimes weeks. I have used a temp gun to compare before & after temps at each of the cats & there's >100*F differential. I've also sprayed carb cleaner around the intake gasket and get no change in RPM (one thread indicated a cracked intake can cause this error). I wanted to swap Banks 1 & 2 Sensor 2's to see if the code moved to Bank 1, but the wire lengths are different so I couldn't do that. I did replace the Bank 2 sensor 2 with a new one; error persists.

Below is the freeze frame data. Does anyone familiar with the expected values see something that can help narrow down what's causing this code? (Note: it threw this code about a month and a half ago; I've been out of town and am just getting back to trying to figure it out).

Surprised your thread wasn't merged with many of the previous ones regarding P0420/P0430 codes. They're all too common. Hit the SEARCH feature up first.

There's nothing in your FF data that looks out of kilter.

I appreciate the reply. I have already done the search and read a couple of hours worth of possible causes. That's why my 1st few sentences read: "I've read through the various threads on the P0430 topic. I understand the possible sources of the issue. But, I do not want to chase parts so...". I've also done some tests that don't require parts and those indicate the cats are working properly. I was hoping something in the freeze frame data would help narrow the possibilities (even though I don't see anything anomalistic). With yours, that's two votes for nothing suggesting what's wrong in that data so I'm back to throwing parts at it (&/or figuring out how to do a smoke test to look for exhaust leaks without a smoke machine). Exhaust looks clean and sound though so, while I'll test it, I doubt that's the issue.

Since the computer says that the converter is not doing its job adequately, you probably should accept that instead of arguing with it.

Suggestions for dealing with the issue are in those previous threads.
