Hello everyone,
I've spent quite a bit of time trying to hash this out myself through reading on different forums without much success, so I thought I'd make a new post myself.
Over the past half year, I've replaced a whole bunch of front & rear suspension components (front bearings, tie rods, struts, shocks, brakes, control arms, sway bar links, rear toe links) , as well as PTU fluid & rear diff fluid. Lug nuts are all tight. New coil packs & spark plugs, front CV axles. Fuel system recently cleaned professionally.
The vehicle shakes when accelerating at about 20-30 mph, and then it fades. Also, sometimes (say half the time - NOT always) it shakes during hard acceleration (read pedal to the metal) regardless of speed.
The tacometer does not jump when this happens, nor is this the same as a torque converter shudder - it feels like the shaking is coming from the platform, rather than engine/transmission.
The car does not shake when idling, nor when hitting the gas with the vehicle in neutral/park. She's got around 160 k miles.
Would appreciate feedback.
