Adaptive Cruise: Had a chance to test the adaptive cruise on my wife's Explorer Sport from Port Huron thru Detroit today. Worked like a champ…..the brakes were applied as traffic dictated….most of the time you did't feel it but in one instance a rapid slowdown in traffic required harder breaking - the system managed the brakes automatically - beautiful.
Suspension: By no means an extensive test but the suspension is really well balanced ….soft until you start pushing the corners and then it clearly tightens up. Not sure how they are doing it (progressive shocks, sway bars ?) ... ….no nose dive into corners... nice flat exit - felt glued to the highway (albeit on snow tires).
Well executed FORD. I'm liking this Sport.
All you need now is 500+HP monster to tangle with the Jeep SRT.
