2015 Explorer 3.5L V6 FWD - Clunking sound while going from park to drive/reverse, sometimes accel/decel
Like the title states, I have a weird clunking sound (presumably up front near passenger side). I can feel it when I shift from park to drive/reverse and sometimes if I hit the gas pedal and let go real quick. I tried posting on Reddit a few times with no luck. This started happening very shortly after possibly immediately after I replaced both front hubs. I went back and double-checked all my torque specs and they are correct. If this is anything but the hubs (maybe they are bad?), is it just a coincidence then this started right after replacing them?

Here are some videos of the issue:

1) What it looks like with the wheels off (I replaced the rotor screw, it was broken and shifting around)

2) What it looks like when viewing the lower engine torque mount (someone suggested this was the problem due to exhaust movement)

UPDATE: 2015 Ford Explorer bad cv axle or engine torque mount (dog bone)? : portypup

3) After replacing the torque mount, there was still movement. The problem didn't seem to be improved at all, maybe some but not much. This is a video of the upper engine mount while shifting. Is this amount of movement normal?

The mechanic wanted to charge me $1300 to replace the front passenger cv axle and the hub because he thinks (but is not sure) the sound is coming from there and wants to replace these parts "to see if the sound goes away". It's not just a sound, there is definitely some movement in the engine. I ordered a cv axle anyways and will probably just replace it incase the mechanic is right. But any other advice or theories are appreciated.

Just wanted to say Welcome to the Forum.
Hopefully, some more mechanically minded members may be able to help.

Get a second opinion.

Just installed a new passenger cv axle. Still have clunking. Starting to think it’s the engine mounts.
