2016 Expedition back up problem

2016 Expedition 3.5 V6, it back up ok on an incline but if you stop in the middle of the incline it will not back up or engine does not accelerate. Has code P0506. Ford indicates it need a new torque converter since it stays locked after reaching temperature. I am not sure this will fix the problem and don't want to keep replacing parts before exploring more.

History:

05/18 mileage 40, 704 - Shuttering in 5th and 6th gear / replaced torque converter and flushed transmission cooler and lines under warranty

12/19 mileage 61,964 – Wrench light came on went into limp mode / replaced throttle body and motor

08/21 mileage 83,240 – Won’t move in reverse on incline and transmission running hot, no codes / replaced lower radiator hose, poor throttle response / replaced throttle body plate and IAC trim motor

08/25 mileage 83,433 – Still won’t move in reverse on an incline / diagnosis need new torque converted.
