I have a 2017 Explorer sport and a few weeks back the check charging system would come on and go off while driving at random times. It finally just stayed on. I had the system checked and at the time the light was off and everything checked out fine. When the light was on it was at 13.4v while running.
I replaced the alternator with a after market one, I know they can cause issues. Check charging system is still on and failed the test when I took it to get checked. Also pulling about 13.4v. The battery tested good. I did a continuity check on the fuse and it checked out good. I also took the original in for a bench test and it passed. The belt it new, terminals look good. I'm lost at this point.
