Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum! I have an 18 Platinum 4wd with the 3.5 eco boost. I have a vacuum leak somewhere that doesn't let the heat kick on when at idle. I have searched everywhere online for a diagram of the ac vacuum lines online and have not been successful in locating it. Does anyone work for ford or have the diagram?

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.
I haven't heard of a vacuum leak not allowing the heater to work on this forum. Are you sure it isn't an issue with a blend door?

Peter

Only reason i believe its a vacuum leak because if you rev it up to around 1200rpm the heat will turn on, If you let it idle it will fade away and go back to being cold.

Coolant bottle full?

Hey man thanks that was it, I put about a quart of water in it and then burped it. This vehicle is fairly new to us and i didnt realize they were that temperamental. i have a 13 f-150 with the ecoboost 200k miles looses a little coolant and the heater never acts up, I know its low when the fans run hard. I appreciate the tip!

Keep an eye on that coolant level to make sure the water pump isn't leaking. Water pump failure leads to dead engine

Now next thing I'd why was it low? I'd check the passenger side of your engine by the ac compressor for wetness. That is where the water pump would leak out. If that's dry and you don't see puddles then keep it moving. Those water pumps will take out the engine so something to keep an eye out.

On the Ecoboost f150 it's usually the fittings that supply the coolant to the turbo to leak. They are a **** to get to.
