2020 Explorer Platinum
Hi all, I am stationed in the UK and awaiting delivery of my 2020 Explorer with a build date of 2 Sept 2020. Does anyone else here have any input if any bugs have been worked out by this build date? Being stationed in England makes it difficult to sort out “problems” with non U.S. Ford garages. Hoping I get lucky and can avoid any headaches.

On a side note, does anyone know if there are actually different seats for the platinum / ST models in regards to some having the massage feature installed (as a part) and seats without? I am just trying to figure out if the message seat function can be activated via FORScan. I am hoping it is a feature that is just not enabled unless you opt for the IPad Pro looking center stack. :)

Massage seat is only with the technology package. If you didn't get that package, you don't have those seats.

We shall see :) I would be shocked if that for an additional $1k they installed different seats, gave you 2 additional speakers, and a larger screen. My research so far has showed the massage option disabled via programming. I could be wrong but time will tell. I have yet to find a different part number for the seats.

Same software so yes, things are programmed within Sync 3 to either be disabled (if you don't have the feature) or enabled (if you do).

When I pulled up the Fseries trucks for example, there are cushions and backs for the contour seats and the non contour seats (different part numbers) and they also have different seat controls with the contour seats (we can activate them through the seat adjustment mounted on the seat) instead of the screen (these are different part numbers as well depending on contour or non contour seats).

I can get a brand new 10.5" Samsung Galaxy tablet for $150 online. Speakers are $50 a pair.. and then there are the seats.

I would totally believe the $1,000 covers the upgraded seats and screen.

Thanks for the info, looks like I will have to just do without. Never had them so I will live. :)
