Anybody ever have a random no start issue where you hold the brake and hit the start button and it lights up like a Christmas tree?

No codes thrown. Dealer verified I have an issue. Vehicle has reported to ford it had connection issues, low voltage etc. battery is perfect.

You can remote start the car 100% of the time but once in a while you go inside and hit the brake or start button and the engine shuts off and car lights up like a Christmas tree.

The only thing that happens is I get an error message no key fob detected seldomly. This happens with both fobs, both got new battery’s and will still have the error when you place the key in the holder.

I do have 2 videos of the issue.

A wild guess here but I'd say a control module is going out whether is the Body control module or the powertrain control module. I would have suggested a bad battery but in the second video it cranked and started successfully. Could also be an anti theft system fault. Has this been an ongoing issue or is it a new issue?

It Was a lemon buyback from ford back in 2023 and this was one of the reasons. I have had it happen 3X since feb 2024.

They reflashed the BCM back in 2023 to "fix' the issue but it didnt. My dealer thinks the BCM is bad however ford will not authorize any repair unless codes are thrown, I have no codes, see the video description for everything the car does.

Its been at the dealer for over 1 month now. The money they are wasting on rentals ($450 every 10 days) and now 1 month car payment reimbursement could of payed for a new BCM to be installed.

The problem with modules is that they often don't throw a code when they go bad. The modules themselves have to give the code but if they don't know they're bad then they can't report issues. Sort of like who watches the watchmen? But the BCM is my guess. I know it would be pricey but have they quoted you a price for a new BCM? If ford won't pay for it and neither will the dealer it may be worth the peace of mind to pay for it yourself and be done with it. This problem will only get worse while corpos fight over who will foot the bill and its you not them stranded somewhere.
