2025 Explorer refresh

I didn’t have the explorer on my radar until I had my third child and then I was looking for something that seated up to 6 - it was purely a need that I stumbled upon something I ended up kind of wanting more than my bronco.

I’m not familiar with the model or its history so when I see another explorer it looks like mine from far away until I see the grille close and then I check the backlights and sure enough it’s the last gen

what are your favorite things about the refresh ? What do you think they could’ve done better or they neglected ?

what do you look forward to in the next generation?

What I wish is that they have grey wheels on the ST, that the ST isn’t tunable, no performance gauges that are worth it, and they kept the stupid small intercooler. Otherwise, just nitpicking.

This is honestly a big reason I liked the active in carbon gray Metallic, the wheels match the paint! (Gray on gray on chrome on gray)

I was wondering why the sound was kind of better than expected - there is a B and O soundbar behind the front dash ! Nice surprise .
