Has any one put a set of 22 inch wheels on their Explorer??? I'm asking because all of my buddies around here are putting 20s on their trucks and I want to be bigger and better. If you have could you send me a picture and tell me what tire sizes will fit??? Oh yeah and how much I'm going to expect to pay???

Thanks a lot,

Brian

yeh there has been a few with 22s except they are not for daily driving. show cars have 22s and look ok, but realistically, anything above 18 is harsh to drive on. 20s are ok, but are not as comfortable as 18s

i have a daily driver

I don't drive my explorer every day. I have a Buick Park Avenue that I drive to school and work. My explorer is my toy.

its not quite so much that the 22's ride rough, its the fact that you have to use a band-aid tire to fit them on an explorer. plan on not being able to lower it at all, if anything, you may have to do some minor fender trimming.

i cant remember were, but somewere on this board are pics of a second gen. X with 22's... with no drop of course.

either way, good luck with your project.:)

if you want to go bigger and better just get some 20" Davin's that should set you back about $10,000. I think that dub deuces would be too little rubber
