Well as the title states has anyone ran that size before? I am thinking 18s and looking at this size they are a good price in the nitto at's. Also how much differance is there between 255/55 and 255/60?

Yeah i have 16's currently but a guy that lives near me just bought a jeep with brand new 185 mud terrains on it.. He just wants to do a straight trade which is fine with me because he has all 5 rims and tires. I only have 4 and have all terrain. I like the more rugged look. but I have some spacers that should give it some clearance. They are the 2 inch wheel spacers. IM hoping maybe that will give it the clearance?
The truck can handle the 15 inch wheels with little modification..I simply rounded the edgy corners of my knuckles and made some adjustment to my brakes and the wheels fit fine..my only problem was when I went to to brakepads the newer thicker pads caused my caliper to touch the inside of my rim by an asshair..small wheel spacers solved that tho. It was an easy project and I love the way my 15s look on my truck..so if you found a good deal on rubber, get the 15s and make them work
Do you really trust someone with 11 posts and hasn't been on here since 4/21/2011?????
I'm not trimming any suspension/steering parts...besides what's he mean by "adjustments" to the brakes?
It doesn't sound as easy as you may think...
I personally would never run wheel spacers, especially 2" ones.. they add SO much unnecessary stress on every component of your rig from wheel bearings to ball joints...
Honestly his 15" rims may fit but each rim is different so you would have to check inside diameter since it can vary quite a bit rim to rim...
True true. Ill do a little bit of measurements and research.. I wouldnt trim any of my suspension parts but ive heard of them shaving break calipers and it working, just being tight. Thats what one of my friends suggested but i dont like the sound of that. But spacers arent terrible. My friends been running them on his rig for a few years now and havent had any problems. I dont go kill mine in the dirt like some others. I do light off roading but mainly street.
Well i used 1.5 inch hubcentric spacers, and did no trimming to steering parts, just about a inch off of the mud guards inside the wheel wells and they work fine. I got a 32 inch tire in there and with the small cuts i have no rubbing.
