Has anyone ever tried fitting 275/60 R15 tires on a stock 7 in. wide rim that normally has 235/75's? It will throw off the speedo about 3% but some of the manufacturers (ie. Dunlop) state a 275/60 will fit a 7 in. wide rim. It would be for an EB AWD V8

I don't know the conversion math but I've got 30X9.5X15 on my 91 stock.

Fits fine.

I have got right now 265/70 15 on the stock 15x7 rims. I don't know if this helps you at all but I see a lot more room under there to fit a 275. To fit 60 series tire is another question.

I have dunlop gt qualifiers 275/60 R15 on stock rims and they look great and perform incredible!!!

I want 'em too

I would like to switch to a 275/60R15, but the tirerack is confusing me just slightly. I want a set of BFGoodrich Radial T/A.... The tirerack claims they fit on 7 wides..... The BFGoodrich website claims the same tire will only fit 7.5 wides.... What's up with that? Can I fit them or not? I have factory bullet holes and wanna keep 'em.

NO, not the BFG TA's, you'll be sliding all over the road in the rain! Get Yokohama AVIS S/T's in 255/70R15, or Kumho STX's in your 275/60R15 size. The Kumho's have an H speed rating!!!

Rain

I've heard the same thing about the rain traction issue with that tire.... But you know what? My truck gets driven maybe 3 times a week, and usually only in good weather unless I'm stuck out in it. It's a project truck that won't see much driving once I'm done with it. I'm actually runnin' a 235/70 in front and a 275/60 in back as long the 275/60 will fit the rim without too much of a problem. I really like the look of the factory bullet hole rims with my dark blue paint.
