Can this be done? If so, How much, and what kind of work are we talking about?

It has been done, and it has been discussed many times. Most of the time, it simply isn't worth it. By the time you add up the money/time invested, you are better off selling your 2wd and buying a 4wd.

Unless you can find a 4wd wrecked, and VERY cheap........or you live near someone who wants to convert to 2wd (or do an SAS), I wouldn't do it.

alright, i will not even bother doing... thank you

You could hunt in wholesale car auctions and find a beater Ex. My auto body dude picked up a '91 4x4 with Warn hubs already for like $300 not long ago. I would assume that everything would bolt up, but as said before, it's time and effort.

yah.. keep your 2wd cause u will need a tow rig and get a cheap 4x4 like a ranger or a cherokee. i got mine for $700 and there are a lot of cherokees already lifted and ready to go for $3500 or less.

Rest assured, when installing my deck today, the 4x4 light bulbs and the harness for the buttons is already present
