Hello all, I have a 96 xlt and read somewhere in one o fthese forums that you can do a TT to lift the X. The thing that I read somewhere that I have a question is true is that can it be lifted more than two inches or was someone mistaken. Just surious because I am looking at a susp. lift from pro comp tha twould do three inches. Any help would be appreciated.

You can crank them as far as you want with 2wd. No CV stress to worry about. With the procomp spindles and TT, you can get around 5-6" of suspension lift.

like j602 brought up i'd crank the torsion bars up 2 or 3 inches...then get procomp lift spindles. The reason (in my opinion) you shouldn't lift it too much more is your are taking away from your droop the more you crank your torsion bars up.

the spindles are pretty expensive but they retain the factory ride setting and they also give you the option of lifting even more than 3". a two to three inch lift without the spindles would leave you with almost not down travel and an extremely stiff ride.

expensive that is why i gave up on the spindals... shipping jacks it up way too high..

Leetz has a 2wd that he has cranked up a lot. Take a look at his or contact him.

get 2* camber adjusters. Max them out then align with your tortion bars ;). Should get about 3''s or so at least.

Hey guys thanks for the help, I might just blow some money and get the spindles and then just let the TT be at stock height. I don't really want to lose the ride, but would like to put some bigger meats on it and make it sit a little higher. Thanks again.
