I would like to run 33's on the stock wheels, with just a 3 inch body lift. how wide can the tires be, and will i need wheel spacers or anything? I want to avoid trimming anything, but i don not want the tires to rub. Money is a big issue, i hardly have any, so a $500 lift is out of the question at the moment.

ok, thank you

and there are some cheap options for lifting your ex:

Shackels and spacers: you can get the spring seats of of and early 90's f150 and put them on yours for over and inch and a half in the front. And buy leaf spring shackels(war153 50$) or shackels from autozone for 14$ I use the auto zones and haven't had any problems. They give you an inch and a half In the back then add a 3" body lift to that (100-200$) and you should clear those 33's with maybe a little rubbing at full turn.(probly on the sway bar)

yep them the ones. I acually bought two pair and was gonna weldnthem together for added strength but I COULDNT cut them with my sawsall so I figured they were strong enough. And there shiny so it adds a little blingage to the suspension.

You can get the spring seats from the junk or fromhttp://www.fastpartsnetwork.com

I recommend buying them there cause putting them on is hassle enough with out haveing to take them off at a junkyard first. and theyre cheap.

The bolt holes on the shackels are 3 inches farther apart than stock so you get 1.5" of lift.

there are four bars inthe box. Two for each shackle you only need one box

I just went and checked on mine. (set my car alarm off while I was at it) and they still look brand new.

Awesome great thanks and the link in my other post those are the correct seats right?

pretty sure that's them but that ilistration's not great email mcphail(he runs that site and is a member here[and he's filthy rich  :D]) and hell tell you for sure. his email should be in the contact page of that site.

But like I say I'm pretty sure that's them. Like 90%

alright thanks for the help man. I had been thinking about doing it but never actually decided to until now i never knew the parts were so cheap.

no problem

and I just remembered while your at auto zoo rent some "coil spring compressors" it'l cost you 40$ but when you bring em back they refund it fully and they'll make the job go quiker and easier. Though theyre not necisary.

They keep the spring compressed while you put the seat in and they help you remember how the spring came out so you'll know howmto put it back. Make sure you put it back in the same way.

There is a write up with pictures and all floating somewhere. Just search f150 springseat install or whatever until you find it.

Let us know if you have any problems.

If I were you I would put the shackels in now while your waiting on the spring seats. Itll look Kool and give you something to do!

will i have to buy new shocks? I just replace my old ones about a week ago.

Nah I'm running the stockers

And that writeup I
mentioned should have shackel instructions as well but Its pretty straitforward. Just jack up one side of the body until the axle is hanging by the leafs then let it back down till the tire is JUST BARELEY touching the ground then undo two bolts. You will need an impact gun probly. should take 30 min to an hour. Depending on skill.

yah i googled and edited my post thanks again.

No problem man

And if I were you I would benputtin the shackels on this weekend but thais because I'm an extremely impulsive person with no patience
