I would love to put a 302 V8 in my 92 sport.
My parents have a '94 E-150 conversion van that has a 302 in it. The conversion part of the van is falling apart, but the engine still runs awesome w/ 154,x.. miles on it. Or, my grandma has a '93 Crown vic with a 302 w/ 162,x.. miles on it. That car still runs/looks/drives like new, but my grandparents won't keep it too much longer. I am to hoping to talk either my grandparents or my parents into "donating" me the engine out their vehicle.
I was just wondering how hard it would be to fit a 302 under the hood of a 1st gen. since they were never made with 302s. Another thing; I love my mazda M-50 tranny and I refuse to deal with a slush box. Is there any way to bolt a M-50 up to a 302, or would I have to get like a T-5 out of a 302 mustang, or get a manual tranny out of a 302 F-150?
