311,000 miles. hole in muffler. time for some work

I lead footed it with the Super Turbo since it was a lot quicker, but with the mpg increase it balanced out and I got the same mileage.

well like the title states my ex has 311,000 on it. it gets 24 miles to the gallon but its developed a hole in the muffler and i would like to redo it. but im broke. whats the cheapest/best way to redo the muffler and possibly the cats because i know they have never been replaced. the explorer was first owned by my grandpa and i knew all about it.

Where is the hole? I just had a hole form right where the Hanger metal welded to the pipe. I welded a bridge across it and welded it closed. should be good for another year or so.
Exhaust systems are too expensive considering the junk Metal they use.
