Yes you will be fine.

With Stock wheels you should be ok with some minor trimming. You are still going to rub occasionally, depending on how aggressive your tread is.

Your stock wheels are 15x8s?

Some can fit 31s easily, some can't. The only way to know for sure is the try them on and see. If they do rub more than you like you can always just put on a small lift using TT/shackles.

i say go for it! im gonna (dont know if thats the smartest thing ever, but we'll see what happens!!)

My 2 cents!

I have a '99 and I put bfg a/t's 31's on mine. I did a tt/ shackle of about 1 1/2" Had to do triming on front bumper and could still use a little on the tupperware.I Only wish i did one thing different! 32's! If i did it all over I would have gone to 32's they fit I'm sure of it.

what are TT/Shackles anyway. I post about them everywhere but im sure what exactly they are. Also what does SOA stand for?

I have 31's right now and rub only when in reverse. just need to do a little trimming on the front corner edges of the bumper.

Krzyboy2o:
TT: Torsion Twist- tightening or loosening the torsion bar bolts to raise or lower the front end respectively
Shackles: the metal "ladder" that attaches the rear leaf springs to the frame, adding longer shackles gives you more lift
SOA: Spring Over Axle-moving the leaf springs from underneath the axle to on top of it, gives approximately 5" of lift

sina220: I have 31X10.50 on stock 15x7 wheels without any rubbing problems. Which wheels do you have that are 15X8?

Trail King A/T - they're a generic brand that I bought used for a discount through my father. They have really good road manners except for in the snow, then they just plain suck. For light wheeling they are all right. I just couldn't afford anything better and my parents needed the extra cash at the time.

dont think they will fit without any rubbing... they will fit with some rubbing.... heck, i have a 94 and my stock tires rubbed... 2" smaller than my 31s.....

I forgot to mention that I have minor rubbing on the sway bar at full lock I believe.

I had to trim about 1/2" off of the front bumper right behind the driving lights, cause it would rub when turning while backing up. Other than that, I didn't have to cut anything else.

Here is a shot of the rear...
