Hi Guys, if you could help me with this question that would be great!

265/75/16 is basically 31.8x10.5x16 which is the same width as the 31x10.5x15. You guys mention that a 31x10.5x15 will fit on an X just fine.

The 265 version is just the same width so unless the height is the problem (require fender cutting) what would be the reason that 265's wouldnt fit as easily as the 31's??

I have a 02 X and wanted 265/75's , just curious as to where the fender cutting would be since it is the same width as the 31 and people fit those on em fine...

Thx
Brandon

I'm assuming that your Sport has the 16" rims. If you plan on keeping them, then the 265/75/16's would equate to a 31.6" X 10.4" tire. (courtesy of www.4lo.com calculators)
When I put 31's on my XLT, I only had problems when at full shock compression, like deep dips or large bumps, the tires would bottom out. 1.5" AAL/TT did the trick!
As far as trimming, I didn't have to do any, but please use the "search" feature and you can find plenty who have!
Good Luck!

I looked at the searches, I was just curious about the difference between the two because they are the same width (basically) tire....

I think if I get a good set of coil spacers for the front to even it out I should be in good shape of fitting 265/75/16...... ?

I don't think you'll need to do any fender cutting, you'd basically be putting on 32's, and many have done that on a Sport with some type of susp lift or body lift, no trimming. And, 32's are usually 11.5" wide I think. So if you lift a couple inches you should be fine.

the tire store (big o) said i didnt need any lift or anything, they would fit fine... but we will certainly c! I am purchasing the 265/75/16 bfg a/t with michely thompson classic II wheels and will post picks soon

The "P" series tires will give you a better street ride and be a few pounds lighter than the LT type in similar sizes.
