Sorry, forgot to include the link but here are similar arguments about the effects of ignoring a recall.For one, you are not being compensated, so not sure where the quote is coming from.
In my case, I had no issues with the blue screen on my MY2020. In the process of updating modules, I regretfully included the recall image module update. Now I get the blue screen intermittently. The dealer didn't know I did it and asked me if I wanted to drop the car off for them to do it. I declined, so you definitely can decline it. Not knowing if this new recall is a definitive fix, I'm definitely not wasting my time and having it done any time soon. I'll wait until others provide feedback. I wouldn't be surprised to see Recall #3.
