03 Explorer XLT
Hi everybody. I’m Brendan from surprise, Az. First car was a 93 explorer xlt that got me hooked on four wheeling and in love with the Explorer platform. I also owned a 92 and now have a 03 xlt. I’ve had if 2 years and now that I have another daily I’m in the process of ordering parts to finally make this one exactly how I want it for a camping, four wheeling, family truck. first pic is mine, second is motivation

Welcome to the forum Brendan. I'm just up the road from you in Wittmann:chug:

I have a small powder coating business at my house so I’ve started to do a few things to it and eventually I’ll get rid of all the rust on it since it came from Maine originally. Exhaust manifolds are ceramic coated and the wheels have a blue flake in the clear coat but it’s hard to capture in pics

Nice! Your Explorer was always motivation when I had my first gens to build mine and I loved watching the progress of your rig back in the day. It’s awesome to see you still have it. I’d love to come check it out in person someday

It would be great to have you over. I may have to hit you up for some powder coating at some point as well.

Welcome Brendan.

Boy I like them exhaust manifold s

Haven’t gotten to have too much fun with it yet cuz it was my daily and I had to pull the motor to fix the timing but this was from our hunt in November that got a little bit messy and she did better stock than I expected in the snow and mud than I anticipated. I only got stuck one time and was able to get out myself with going back n forth an inch or a few at a time til I was able to back up enough to get more momentum.
