How hard is it to swap in the 3rd gen front and rear to a 2nd gen? I imagine that the back is impossible without body work due to the taillights, but what about the front? Has anyone done it before?

To my knowledge, no one has done it. I also have a feeling the 3rd get front end won't match up because of design. You need to have a lot of items to change it over. Very pricey

I think that you may have some hard times finding a 3rd gen front anyways, but I guess you might get lucky.

It would be cheaper to just buy a 3rd gen:) You could put a 01+ Sport front and rear on relatively easily.

Very true. I like the interiors on them more anyways. Was just curious. Though it might be fun if the front end of my truck ever gets mashed to hell. Not cost effective though I guess.
