What options do I have for a lift on a 3rd gen explorer 4 door with independant rear suspension? I allready seen the coilovers...I was hoping for more lift.

Thanks!

That was fast...nothing...wow....can I fit 31's with no lift?

if you wanna get ballsy, you may be able to get a body lift on there- it IS body on frame...i think the consensus was that Rancho's truck with 35's had one. i have no idea what you would run into, however.

I dont think mine hang low enough to dig into a fairly new truck....i think ill wait for the coil overs....thanks though

From other posts on this web site, I have seen that you can put 265/75-16 on your 3rd generation Ex

anyone have a link for the coilovers?

West County-- Ballwin.

KW Suspension will soon have coilovers for the 3rd generation but will be about $1300.00 for the coilovers only, kind of pricey for only 2 inches of lift!
They have not hit the market yet! This is what they told me,

Chris

The explorer coilovers have been set back for several month this past year to have several retunes of the shocks. Although this is time consuming, it dose ensure for that only the very best product available is released by KW into the market.

I have checked on the status of these coilovers, and have been told to expect to see them next month ready for sale and on the market.

Please let us know if you have any other questions we can answer for you!

I think they ran into the same problem as Daystar did with there spring spacers tearing up the control arms, not really sure, until then look at these!

I'm running 265/70R16 on Sportrac wheels on my 02 Explorer 4x4 4-door. The rear is fine but the front is very close to rubbing the fenders. Would need a lift to do any serious off roading. Try to buy the coil over lift but it's not available yet. Might try to fab a 1"body lift myself.
