3rd Gen thermostat housing

Recently, my SES light came on, I disconnected the battery, & it then went out. It threw a thermostat code, so I'm gonna replace it. But I want an aluminum housing (most likely from RockAuto) too, preferably colder than OEM 192°F... Any suggestions???

This thread is from the 1995-01 sub forum, but comparisons should still apply. IIRC, the differences are the upper housing hose outlet angles and single vs. two ECT sensors. Any reason you want a colder thermostat instead of the stock 192 degree? Always thought engine operating temp was important.
