3rd gen X tire question?

i just purchesed a 03 explorer xlt 4x4, it has 235/70/16 on it , what size would they be like 29" or smaller? also what would a 30" and 31" size tire convert to on my stock 16" wheels? i was thinking of going 255/75/16 but just wondering how big that is.

245/75R16 is around 31”
265/75R16 is around 32”

Remember Just because a tyre's labelled as X size, it is not necessarily that size, say it might be labelled as a 31” but it could be anywhere between 30.5” to 31.5” tall depending on who makes the tyre.
