Can you replace the third row seat in a 2003 Explorer with the 50/50 split seat out of the 2006-2008 models? If so, how hard would it be to replace it?
My gut is telling me that they're too different to be easily interchangeable. If I remember correctly, 4th gens have seats that collapse into the floor, but 3rd gens bend forward.
Is there even a write up on how to change a 3rd gen 2 row to a 3rd gen with 3 rows? Wife is starting to get on me to do the conversion. I say the write up on the 4th but how much difference is there?
I know you can add a 3rd row to a 2 row Explorer. What I want to do is replace my current third row with one from a 2006-2010 Explorer that has the 50/50 split third row. That's what I can't find an answer on.
