Can somebody set up a chart or something for swapping motors between our Explorers.
I am do for a motor here pretty soon and have been doing some research. I think I have something straight and I turn around and get a totally different answer.
What years will bolt up with other years?
Do I need a specific motor if I have a 5-speed?
(this is the one I have had problems with)
Computers and emissions control?
(old to new-can I swap my stuff over?)
I know you guys can come up with something.
I cancelled my 5.0 swap do to money and time issues.
So I was looking for a cheaper bolt up upgrade like a SOHC or better heads from a newer motor?
Dont make me pull out the "I hafta goto the dealer " card.......................
