Hey Guys, its Russ. I know I kinda disappeared there for a while, but hey, I still sneak around. But here's the lowdown:

Blue blew (I've already heard the puns) a head gasket back in december and wth low copression and just a really bad sound, I decided to dive head first, blindfolded, into a comlete rebuild. Now I can't garuneentee a complete step by step or how to, but I will be asking questions and posting pictures. Plus a great chance for others to chime in and help me :D

Ive gotten the motor tore down and just took the block to the machine shop. I have already had the heads done, and they turned out real good. So now I wait.

I strongly suggest to get that paint off any surfaces that will be inside of the engine. That paint will not stick to any parts that will be oil covered and it will peel off and end up a lumpy, slimey mess in your oil pump pickup screen.

I made this mistake myself years ago with my first 5.0 build and ended up plugging my pump pickup from all that paint coming off. The paint will not stick and will not break down so ends up causing big problems.

Looks good. Thanks for the pics.
