My planned 4.0 OHV rebuild

That's why i been hesitant to buy them. Other brands and the first gen pacesetters come with a y-pipe but aren't $180. The ones for the second gens claim to bolt up in place of the manifolds. Their advertising is very misleading. No where do they state an aftermarket y-pipe is needed.

I bought the pacesetters for my 2000 ohv and they fitvperfectly. They don't come with a y pipe. The older gen's do come with a y pipe.

I don't know why your pacesetter flanges are wrong. Did someone pull the y pipe out of a kit and sell them as working on the 2000 explorer with the ohv?

I looked the part number on the pacesetter site and lists it for the ranger and Mazda but not the explorer so I guess the vendor figured it must work on the explorer as well....bummer
